We are Canaan Bound, a southern gospel music trio, singing for our Lord. We are from Denison, Texas; a small
town approximately 75 miles north of Dallas; on the Texas/Oklahoma border.
Our prayer has been that God would open and close doors at his will. He not only opened doors, but doors have
flew open wide. We have been overwhelmed at the opportunities that God has sent our way. We all love God,
and have each placed him first in our lives. Any accomplishments we may obtain we give to Him all the glory.
Dale and Sue Kennington have been married for over thirty years and have throughly enjoyed singing and
ministering at their local church. Singing has been a blessing in their lives which the Kennington's have been able to
share together.
Sue began singing at the age 8; inspired by her mother and grandmother to continue to develop her talent. Dale
sang with his family while growing up at their local church. He also played the trumpet in school, and continues
to play occasionally today.
Ruth Ledbetter is a very gifted and talent pianist, and singer. She has sang since childhood and toured with a
group called Sonshine, Inc. ,while attending Mt. Vernon Nazarene College. She has a rich history in gospel
music, as her mother performed with Bill and Gloria Gaither when they were first starting out in their own
musical careers.
Ruth is married to Larry Ledbetter, who shares in his wifes musical accomplishments and has recently
volunteered to act as the groups sound system engineer.
